Sinopec Chongqing opens new 50,000-ton state-of-the-art PVA line

Sinopec Chongqing SVW Chemical has recently begun operations at a new state-of-the-art polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) production line, bringing the company's PVA production capacity to 210,000 tons per year. [Photo by Chen Lin/For chinadaily.com.cn]

Historically, China has relied heavily on imports for high-end PVA grades. Chongqing SVW's newly commissioned line produces high-end PVA that meets international standards, increasing the nation's autonomy in the industrial supply chain.
