With a slender, elongated shape and a warm, lustrous texture, this greenish-white jade cong tube dates back to the Neolithic period. The tube features relatively high projecting sections. Its surface is inscribed with three Chinese characters reading "zuo ce hu" (Recorder Hu), which are believed to have been added during the Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC). Collection: Quwo County Jin State Museum in Shanxi province.
