Chongqing leads the way in NEV charging stations

The city has plans for further expansion, with over 2,300 new stations by 2026 and more than 2,500 by 2028. The city is also focusing on deploying heavy-duty truck supercharging stations and vehicle-to-grid piles.
State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company said it had invested 336 million yuan from 2024 to 2025 to support these efforts, completing over 1,700 projects.
