First fired in Tongchuan, Shaanxi, in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Yaozhou kiln – a celadon kiln – reached its peak in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), producing ceramics renowned for their elegant forms, subtle green glaze, and exquisite craftsmanship.
