First fired in Tongchuan, Shaanxi, in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Yaozhou kiln – a celadon kiln – reached its peak in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), producing ceramics renowned for their elegant forms, subtle green glaze, and exquisite craftsmanship. Now, Anyang Museum in Henan invites you to explore the Yaozhou Kiln Ceramics Exhibition, where treasures from different periods reveal the artistry and ingenuity of ancient craftsmen.
