Tibet University received international recognition at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. Professor Wang Yuanhao, from the university's School of Science, won a silver award for his creation, "a new-generation composite nano-coating for poultry egg preservation," which has a Chinese patent.

Professor Wang, who joined Tibet University in 2022, developed the coating with a composite colloid of nano-silver and nano-titanium dioxide. This material forms a chitosan-based coating with antibacterial and oxygen-blocking properties. By preventing bacterial invasion and inhibiting respiration, it extends the shelf life of eggs.

The Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, founded in the 1970s, is one of the largest and most prestigious invention exhibitions worldwide. This year's event featured over 1,000 projects from nearly 40 countries and regions. China's delegation presented over 200 inventions and won 77 gold awards, 96 silver awards, and 55 bronze awards.
