The Shanxi Puju Opera Troupe performed the traditional Puju Opera work Sisters Exchange Marriage in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, on July 12. The story revolves around two sisters, Zhang Suhua and Zhang Sumei, and their marriages, highlighting themes of fidelity.
Puju Opera, also referred to as Puzhou Clapper Opera, is a form of traditional Chinese operas originating from southern Shanxi. It has a strong connection to Qinqiang Opera.
