Huizhou-style ancient construction industry

There are 209 enterprises engaged in the ancient construction industry, seven inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage – including those producing the three ancient Anhui carvings, bamboo carvings and traditional residential building skills in ancient Anhui. Moreover, there are 19 inheritors of provincial intangible cultural heritage, 139 inheritors of municipal intangible cultural heritage and over 13,000 ancient construction craftsmen.

Moving forwards, Huangshan will focus on four sectors – including the construction, repairs and the components of ancient construction and their accessories – to build an ancient architecture industry base with national influence.
