After its renovation, the Zhengyici Theater has reopened and presented a series of traditional Chinese opera with new adaptations. Located in Beijing’s Xicheng district, the theater has a history of more than 300 years and is known as the oldest wood-structured theater in China. In their heydays, noted opera artists Mei Lanfang (1894-1961) and Tan Xinpei (1847-1917) performed there. Welcome back!
