The Qinqiang Opera’s Yandang Mountain was staged in Xi’an, Northwest China’s Shaanxi province, on April 15. Featuring exciting fight choreography, it depicts a stirring war story during the peasant uprisings in the late Sui Dynasty (581-618).
A signature performance art of Shaanxi, the Qinqiang Opera is also known as the Bangzi Opera and was added to the country's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
