National Games torch relay carries oncomes to in Dongli

On Aug 16, the 13th National Games torch relay was held went on in Dongli district of Tianjin city.

With a total area of 478 square kilometers and a population of 830 thousand population, Dongli has been designated as a national aerospace industry base, an advanced equipment manufacturing base, an international cultural exchange center, and an ecological livable city.

As the first torchbearer of the torch relay in Dongli, Meng Guanglu, a famous performing artist of Beijing opera, is also one of the an ambassadors of the national games.

"It's a pleasure to be here and I'll contribute my best to the National Games held in my hometown," said Meng.

As Luan Dawei, the last torchbearer, lit the cauldron, the torch relay of the National Games in Dongli came to an end. A number of performances with distinctive regional characteristics, such as wushu and cheerleading, were then staged carried out at the terminal.

On Aug 17, the torch relay of the 13th National Games will be carried oncontinue at Jinnan district of Tianjin.
