What can flowers reveal about a century of art?
Gestures of Flowers: Floral Masterpieces through Centuries from the Belvedere in Vienna brings 60 paintings and sculptures to Chengdu Art Museum in Sichuan province, featuring works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and pioneering women artists such as Olga Wisinger-Florian. Spanning five movements from Baroque to Modernism, the exhibition explores how flowers became more than nature studies, expressing emotion and identity.
