This one-of-a-kind Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) bronze ware is the only example discovered in China. It is shaped like a gu (wine vessel), with a symmetrical design and a side handle, once used for holding liquor during rituals or feasts. Reflecting the unique artistic imagination and aesthetic taste of people from over 3,000 years ago, the vessel is now preserved at the Panlongcheng Site Museum in Wuhan, Hubei province.
