The hidden spaces beneath the Potala Palace

According to the documentary The Potala Palace, the landmark in Lhasa has eight of its 13 stories embedded in rock. Beneath the palace lies a maze-like network of underground spaces — dark, hidden, and filled with myths. Some say they conceal gold, silver, jade, and rare treasures. Others believe a secret passage leads all the way to the Lhasa River.
