Hailed as the "Crown of Bronze", the two bronze chariots drawn by horses from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor are masterpieces. Each of the two is a classic Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) single-shaft, two-wheel chariot, comprising four horses, one charioteer, and over 100 individual bronze components.
Half the size of the real ones, the chariots boast vivid and life-like poses, expressions, and details, showcasing the extraordinary skills of Qin artists and the all-conquering power of horses.
Discovered in 1978, the chariots underwent nearly eight years of meticulous restoration before revealing their original splendor. Today, they are treasured collections of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum.
