Today, the Tsinghua University Art Museum in Beijing unveiled a new special exhibition Zhōng: The Cradle of China – Glory of the Central Plain Civilization. Placing the Central Plain at the core of Chinese civilization, the exhibition traces its story from prehistory through the Song (960-1279) and Ming (1368-1644) dynasties. Through carefully selected artifacts, it illuminates this region's achievements in political systems, ritual and musical traditions, philosophical thought, and artistic creation — foundations that continue to influence China today.
