At the Henan Museum, a special exhibition is shining the spotlight on a remarkable gourd-shaped bronze hu (kettle, wine container) from the tomb of the Jin State Minister Zhao in Shanxi province. Dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC), this rare guest from Shanxi features a bird-shaped lid, a tiger-shaped handle and intricate motifs of coiled snakes and cord, capturing the artistry of ancient bronze craftsmanship.
