Marking the 111th birthday of renowned surgeon Academician Qiu Fazhu (1914-2008), the original drama The People’s Surgeon Qiu Fazhu premiered at Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology on Dec 6. Co-produced by the university and Changjiang People’s Art Theatre, the play movingly portrays his lifelong dedication to surgery, medicine and humanity through a rich narrative.
