The Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, Sichuan province, will close from Dec 5, 2025 to April 30, 2027 for its first major upgrade since its opening in 2007. The project will enhance site and artifact protection, renew exhibitions and improve visitor services. Visitors with reservations or unused tickets can request refunds via the original platform or the museum’s ticket office, while annual and family pass holders may opt for an extension or refund.

During the renovation, Jinsha treasures representing the ancient Shu Kingdom civilization can still be seen in the collections of local Sichuan museums, as well as in displays both in China and abroad. Visitors can also explore the digital exhibition hall via the museum’s official website and WeChat account.
