An exhibition now on view at the Shanxi Museum brings the world's tallest surviving all-wooden pagoda – Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogong Temple in Yingxian county – to life.
Through more than 130 high-definition images from recent surveys, the exhibition explores the pagoda's architectural legacy, religious art and hidden treasures. Visitors can get an up-close look at the unique charm of this almost thousand-year-old wooden marvel (built in 1056).
