The classic Qinqiang Opera Restore Our Lost Territories wowed the audiences on Aug 28 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. First written in 1937 and performed by the Yisu Opera Club, the production revives the story of Yue Fei (1103-42) and Han Shizhong (1089-1151) defending the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) against invaders — bringing timeless patriotism and cultural heritage to the stage.
