Su Haotian, a technology content creator known as "Su Xinghe Niu Tong", was among the first batch of creators to move into the facility.

"These policies demonstrate the government's recognition and respect for our profession," Su said. "The supportive environment and professional facilities will help us produce better content for society."

Qian Shengdong, known as "G Seng Dong" on short-video platforms and famous for his Shanghai dialect content, highlighted the practical benefits of the new facility.

"As content creators, we've always struggled with space constraints. Previously, I had to spend considerable time setting up equipment at home for each shoot. Here, everything is ready to use, and the opportunity to collaborate with other creators is invaluable," he said.

The hub also introduced an avenue pass program, providing creators with access to educational resources, networking opportunities, and various lifestyle benefits within the community area.

"The KIC represents a flagship collaboration between Shui On and the Yangpu district, bringing together multiple creative industries," Zhang Bin, CEO of Shui On Xintiandi Limited. He emphasized the integration of industry and lifestyle elements in the project.

"We hope creators can find their partners, business opportunities, and audience here while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere that stimulates creativity," Zhang said.

Looking ahead, Yangpu district plans to expand its support through additional initiatives, aiming to develop a more comprehensive ecosystem for content creators while advancing Shanghai's digital content industry, according to Zhang Qingning, deputy director of Yangpu district development and reform commission.

She noted that this approach reflects the government's recognition of content creation as an emerging industry representing young people's perspectives on the world, deserving comprehensive support for sustainable growth.
