The Jiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is a thematic memorial hall that showcases the significant revolutionary events, martyrs, and artifacts in the revolutionary base area – Jiangxi – during the New Democratic Revolution period (1921-49) and the Socialist Construction period (1956-78). It was founded in 1952 and officially opened to the public in October 1957.
In front of the hall stands a statue of a Red Army soldier, symbolizing the eternal inheritance of the revolutionary spirit.
Through artifacts, pictures, scene restoration, and multimedia, the memorial hall provides a comprehensive display of the revolutionary struggle history of Jiangxi. It comprises a front hall, a preface hall, and six historical display areas. The permanent exhibition is chronologically arranged in the order of revolutionary history, focusing on the deeds of over 1,600 noted martyrs who were born or died in Jiangxi and 21 heroic groups.
The memorial hall boasts a rich collection, including the archives of martyrs, photos, and revolutionary artifacts, which are witnesses to the revolutionary history and the sacrifices and contributions made by people in Jiangxi.
