Rural talent show on stage in Ningshan

On May 16, a press conference was held at the Shaanxi library to announce a new cultural initiative in Ningshan county, Shaanxi province.

Centered around public participation, the event aims to drive rural revitalization through vibrant performances and cultural tourism activities.

Open to aspiring performers from across the country, the event will invite individuals with a passion for the stage and artistic talent to compete in a talent showcase designed to create an inclusive, people-centered platform.

Through music, dance, and other creative performances, the event will highlight Ningshan's rich local culture, folk traditions, and natural resources.

Preliminary selection rounds will take place across 11 towns, each with its own thematic competition. Emphasizing authenticity, creativity, and integration, the competition seeks to uncover distinctive rural charm.

The event will kick off on May 24 at Binhe park in Ningshan county and run through August 30.

During each round, audience members will be randomly invited to participate on stage, with public voting taking place via a mobile app. Prizes such as scenic spot tickets and local specialty gift packs will be awarded to lucky participants.

By blending agriculture, sports, and tourism, the initiative aspires to build a sustainable rural revitalization brand and bring new vitality to the cultural landscape of the Qinling Mountains.
