Established in 1984, the Lishui Museum is a comprehensive municipal museum that showcases the natural, historical, cultural, and artistic heritage of the region.

Located in Liandu district, Lishui, Zhejiang province, the new museum building features a courtyard-style design with three two-story buildings, covering an area of 13,800 square meters. The building harmoniously blends with the scenic landscape of Nanming Lake by the Oujiang River.

The museum houses eight exhibition halls with a total exhibition area of over 7,000 square meters. It includes two permanent exhibitions highlighting Lishui's unique ecological environment and achievements in ecological construction, as well as its rich and vibrant cultural history.

Additionally, there are four special exhibitions that offer a multi-faceted and comprehensive display of Lishui's unique She ethnic customs, overseas Chinese culture, stone inscription culture, and exquisite works of the "Three Treasures of Lishui" — Longquan celadon, Longquan swords, and Qingtian stone carvings.

The temporary exhibition halls, spanning over 900 square meters, host more than ten diverse exhibitions annually.
