The Dunhuang Grand Theatre in Dunhuang, Gansu province staged the large-scale musical Thousand Hands, Thousand Eyes on Friday. The production drew inspirations from the mural in the No 3 grotto of the Mogao Caves, which is the only illustration of the Avalokitesvara Sutra.
