Film academy presents a gala to mark new year

Students and teachers from Beijing Film Academy presented a gala in Beijing on Jan 5 to celebrate the new year.
Featuring songs, dances and sketch, the gala was brought to an end with a performance by the veteran singer Guan Mucun with popular Chinese songs, such as Hits Hand Drum to Sing A Song, inspired by Xinjiang folk music and composed by Shi Guangnan (1940-90).
Actor Wang Jinsong, who is a professor of Beijing Film Academy, also worked with his students on a sketch, with Wang playing the role of an old man suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
