A celebration was held on Wednesday in Guangzhou, Guangdong province to mark the 65th anniversary of the creation of the Smurfs, the blue three-apple high creatures.
Diplomats from about 20 countries and Chinese and foreign artists attended the event, which was organized by the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of Belgium in Guangzhou and the Guangzhou Cartoonist Association.
