Check out this rare Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) Jingdezhen ware! The blue-and-white flattened pot features a phoenix head-shaped spout with a curling phoenix-tail handle, with the body, including its wings, beautifully depicted in underglaze blue paint.
The pot embodies a cultural fusion, combining the bird head-shaped spout design from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and the nomadic flattened pot style, resulting in a captivating blend of crafts. It is in the permanent collection of the Capital Museum of China.
