Check out this exquisite white jade pendant designed in the shape of a three-clawed dragon with its head raised and body coiled. Intricately carved scales can be found on its body and fine patterns on its belly.
Sculpturing, openwork, and high and low relief carving are employed to exhibit the dragon’s mightiness and magnificence. The pendant exemplifies the style of jade carving during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
It is one of the top ten treasures from the permanent collection of the Wuhan Museum.
