Re-choreographed classic Cantonese opera staged in Wuhan

On May 26th, the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troupe presented the re-choreographed production The Story of Burning Incense at the Shouyi Theater in Wuhan, Hubei province during the third National Traditional Chinese Opera (Southern Region) Showcase.

A masterpiece representing the Hong school of Cantonese Opera, the production beautifully depicts the complex love story between Jiao Guiying, a talented courtesan, and Wang Kui, a faithful young official.
