Today Feb 5 marks the Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the Lunar New Year. Husband and Wife Watching Lanterns, a vintage Huangmei Opera piece, depicts the pleasant experience of a rural couple watching lanterns in the ancient Bianliang city (today known as Henan’s Kaifeng) to celebrate the festival.
