Do you know Li Yu (937-78), the last ruler of Southern Tang state (937-75) and the renowned lyric poet? You will know more about him after watching the musical The Throne and the Poetry which will be performed at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center on April 22 and 23. Inspired by Li’s tragic life story, the production integrates traditional Chinese music with rock and electro music.
