The classic Yueju Opera piece Birthday Congratulations was staged in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, on Sept 21, one of the attractions of the ongoing 8th Silk Road International Art Festival.
Produced by Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe, the story is set in the Ming Dynasty and depicts the complexity of human relationships.
