The Shaoxing Museum in Zhejiang province unveiled on Aug 26 an exhibit of Kuaiji bricks dating back to the 3rd to 6th centuries. Kuaiji is an ancient administrative region whose seat of government then is today’s Shaoxing.
About 150 bricks with carved inscriptions and pictorial designs as well as 70 brick rubbings reveal local history and culture from more than 1,000 years ago. The exhibit will run through Sept 26.
