Big news for all Kunqu Opera fans! The well-known Kunqu Opera The Peony Pavilion by Tang Xianzu (1550-1616) will take to the stage of the Guangzhou Grand Theater on April 1 to 3. This version has been abridged by renowned writer Bai Xianyong from the original 20-hour performance to just nine hours to make it “digestible” for young audiences.
