One of the most representative original works of Chinese opera, The Vast Grasslands was restaged in Liaoning Grand Theater in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on Oct 11 and 12. It premiered in 1995 and tells the epic story of the return of the Torghud Mongolian people in the 17th century.
