Adapted from the eponymous work of Lao She (1899-1966), the Quju Opera Teahouse, produced by the Beijing Quju Opera Troupe, was staged at Tianqiao Theater on Sept 14. It shows a vivid depiction of the great social changes in China from 1898 to the 1940s through the vicissitudes of a teahouse in Beijing.
