Yantai plans to build first metro line

Yantai government is planning to start construction on its first metro line this year and the project is expected to be completed by 2025.

The metro line will have a length of 44 kilometers and have 35 stations. It will pass through Yantai Economic and Development Zone, Zhifu district, and Laishan district.

With an investment of 1.37 billion yuan ($212.3 million), the line will greatly improve the city’s transportation network and benefit residents alongside the coastal line.
