A sculpture biennale opens at the China Sculpture Museum in Datong, Shanxi province, on Nov 23. This year's theme is "differences".
The biennale is in its fourth session and displays 250 pieces of work created after 2015 in five exhibition sections: "implements", "concretization", "materials", and "outdoor and technology".
A forum on Chinese culture and modern sculpture was held on the same day with a curator team and critics delivering keynote speeches.
The exhibition will last until Dec 23.
