Yuanxiangkou fish balls enjoy a long history, which can be dated back to 1821. Different from other fish balls, yuanxiangkou fish balls are hand-made using shark meat and mixed with trepan, dried scallops and streaky pork. Due to their rare ingredients, yuanxiangkou fish balls are quite scarce. The fish ball soup is also a delicacy. It is made from boiling shark head and fishbone. If you add salt, the soup will have a great aftertaste.
