Chongqing theme park celebrates giant panda Ai Lian's seventh birthday

On Tuesday, the Locajoy Theme Park in Chongqing celebrated the seventh birthday of its beloved giant panda, Ai Lian (meaning "lotus lover"), drawing large crowds of fans and visitors eager to join in the festivities.

Born on Oct 20, 2019, Ai Lian has captured the hearts of many with her charming looks and playful personality. To mark her seventh birthday, the park crafted a feast of fresh bamboo shoots arranged in the shape of a blooming lotus flower, surrounded by green bamboo leaves. At the center, a watermelon was carved into a lotus in full bloom, while a large winter melon was adorned with the Chinese character for "lotus" and the number "7".
