The 12th Silk Road International Arts Festival will run from Oct 11 to Nov 10 in Xi'an, presenting 83 shows and over 420 artworks from 19 countries and regions.

Since its inauguration in 2014, the event has drawn participants from more than 120 countries and regions. This year's festival features four major segments: opening and closing ceremonies, stage performances, art exhibitions, and international cultural exchanges.

Stage performances will feature dance, traditional opera, and drama, with high-quality productions such as The Eternal Wave and The Prince of Lanling.

The Today's Silk Road International Invitational Art Exhibition will showcase artworks from places such as the United States, France, and Kazakhstan, with more than 10 international artists invited for exchange visits.

Outstanding art troupes from Zimbabwe, Russia, and other countries will perform in theaters, cultural venues, and scenic spots, allowing locals to experience the artistic charm of diverse countries.

The exhibitions will be open for free, with performances to be held across six cities, including Xi'an, Baoji, and Xianyang.

With Chinese and overseas literary and artistic works as well as diverse exchange events, the festival will build a bridge for mutual learning between civilizations and people-to-people connectivity.
