Xi'an-based Zhongke Tiant Science and Technology Co., Ltd. made its debut at the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) held in Antalya, Turkiye, from Oct 5 to 9. The firm displayed its new-generation space-borne laser communication terminal and the Huashan aerospace large model at the global top-tier aerospace gathering.

Hosted by the International Astronautical Federation, the annual IAC, first launched in 1950, ran for five days this year under the theme "The World Needs More Space". It drew more than 10,000 participants from over 100 countries and regions, ranging from space agency executives and astronauts to researchers and industry professionals. Participants conducted in-depth exchanges on lunar exploration, satellite systems, space-based AI, space security and international aerospace collaboration.

Two flagship products stood out at Zhongke Tiant's booth. The new-generation space-borne laser communication terminal tackles technical bottlenecks for low-earth-orbit constellations such as high-speed transmission, stable link establishment and secure space communication. Boasting miniaturization and high integration, it supports 100G high-dynamic data transmission and has carried out verification of Tbps ultra-high-speed optical transmission. Equipped with a standalone control system, the terminal can function steadily amid satellite micro-vibrations, catering to inter-satellite networking, real-time remote-sensing data downlink and high-speed satellite internet.

Huashan, China's first AI large model tailored for aerospace TT&C (tracking, telemetry and command), rolled out its Version 1.0 in October 2024. Leveraging massive aerospace datasets and professional expertise, it delivers capabilities including satellite anomaly root-cause analysis, automated orbital operations, aerospace document processing, code generation, multi-source data retrieval and on-orbit decision-making support.

The company has pioneered the "space intelligent-driving" technical route. Laser communication undertakes high-speed data transfer and precise sensing, while the Huashan large model handles satellite condition monitoring, fault prediction, automatic mission planning and on-board autonomous control. Their combination enables intelligent, autonomous management for satellite operations.

As an industrial arm of the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhongke Tiant is a national high-tech enterprise as well as a Shaanxi-level "specialized, refined, unique and innovative" enterprise. Shaanxi serves as a vital aerospace base in China, home to a large share of the nation's aerospace research and development capacity. The company's presence at IAC marks a notable step for Shaanxi-based aerospace enterprises to engage in global aerospace dialogue and international cooperation.

Overseas experts and institutional representatives showed strong interest in its "laser communication plus aerospace AI" solution, noting it addresses real-world needs for large-scale constellation operation and maintenance.

Going forward, Zhongke Tiant will advance iteration and large-scale application of its core products, refine the new-generation on-orbit autonomous management paradigm, and expand international technological cooperation. It aims to contribute to building China into a major aerospace power and boosting the high-quality growth of the domestic commercial aerospace sector.
