Tai'an welcomed 587,900 visitors across 26 monitored scenic spots during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, while also ranking third among Tongcheng Travel's "dark horse" destinations for moon gazing.
On Sept 26, a camping festival opened in Wenhe New District, offering stargazing, equestrian experiences, and outdoor sports. The event was part of Tai'an's efforts to enrich holiday offerings.
The city launched 50 holiday activities and preferential policies during the festival, with districts rolling out differentiated products — from moon-themed events at Taishan Mountain to fireworks shows and interactive performances. Hotels and homestays offered special packages and discounts, shifting visitors from sightseeing to immersive experiences.
Tai'an also organized 131 public cultural activities, with libraries, art galleries, and cultural centers extending hours and hosting exhibitions and performances.
Online promotion further boosted visibility. Collaborations with Douyin, Bilibili, and Xiaohongshu generated over 960 million views across four themed hashtags, with related content reaching nearly 300 million more — amplifying Tai'an's Mid-Autumn cultural tourism voice.
