New high-speed rail service connects Yantai with Shangqiu

A new high-speed train service linking Yantai in Shandong province with Shangqiu in Henan province is now available, offering travelers from Yantai, especially those in the Huang-Bohai New Area, another convenient rail option.

From Sept 28 to Dec 31, train G3958 will run from Yantai West Railway Station to Shangqiu. Tickets are on sale now.

The train departs Yantai at 8:18 am, arrives at Yantai West at 8:42 am and leaves at 8:44 am. It then travels south through Shandong, with stops including Penglai, Zhaoyuan, Laizhou, Weifang North, Zibo North, Jinan, Liaocheng West and Heze East, before reaching Shangqiu at 1:43 pm.

The whole journey takes just five hours 25 minutes, with 13 stops, and is expected to boost business, tourism and daily travel by improving connectivity across the region.

Along the way, passengers can enjoy highlights such as Penglai's coastal scenery, Zhaoyuan's gold town, Zibo's barbecue, Jinan's springs and Shangqiu's ancient city.

Tickets are available on the 12306 platform. With mountains, sea and ancient cities awaiting along the route, the new service makes a spontaneous southbound trip easier than ever.
