Envista CEO: One-billion-yuan investment in China is mostly about the future

International dental health giant Envista invested a total of 1 billion yuan ($149 million) for its new facility in Suzhou of East China's Jiangsu province, the single largest investment that the company has made in China since its first footprints here two decades ago. During an exclusive interview with China Daily, the company's CEO Paul Keel praised China's experiences in technology and high-end manufacturing that can feed into other markets. "We did not invest here because of lower-cost labor or construction materials. We came here because it is a more capable manufacturing environment," said Keel.
