Tai'an investment, trade fair showcases city's new growth opportunities

The 2026 China Tai'an Investment and Trade Cooperation Fair held on Sept 6 brought together over 160 guests and business representatives to discuss friendship, development, and future cooperation.

As a key economic event of the 40th Taishan Mountain International Climbing Festival, the fair showcased Tai'an's achievements and extended an open invitation for collaboration.

Forty years after the festival's inception, a growing number of quality projects and entrepreneurs have taken root in Tai'an.

Hu Liang, chairman of Ganzhou Litan New Energy Technology, praised the city's business environment: "From factory construction to approvals, and from policies to support services, government departments have helped us solve real problems, giving us the confidence to invest."

His project in Xintai, a county-level city of Tai'an, producing silicon-carbon anode materials for companies like CATL and BYD, began production this April. A second phase is now being planned.

Meanwhile, Shandong Kejia Intelligent Manufacturing announced an AI computing and new materials project, citing Tai'an's strong industrial base and efficient services.

During the fair, themed presentations highlighted opportunities in emerging industries, the digital economy, and cultural tourism. Tai'an introduced new projects in aerospace and the low-altitude economy, signaling the city's ambition in future industries.

In the first half of this year, Tai'an's GDP grew by 6 percent, ranking second in the province, with industrial output rising 8 percent. The city continues to advance its modern industrial system and attract high-quality investment.
