Animal couples at Harbin Northern Forest Zoo in Heilongjiang province were photographed performing unique interactions on Wednesday, presenting a special kind of animal kingdom romance during Qixi Festival, celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh month in the Chinese calendar.

Multiple species throughout the zoo were spotted displaying social coupling behaviors, from flamingos moving in perfect sync to monkeys grooming each other with quiet comfort.
