The Hubei Local Opera Arts Showcase opened in Wuhan on Monday, bringing the province’s rich traditions of Chinese opera to the stage. Running through Aug 31, the 15-day event features 11 full-length productions and 18 short works across 14 local opera genres. Spanning a diverse range of local opera genres, the showcase highlights the creativity, heritage and evolving talent of Hubei’s traditional performing arts.
